Here is an explanation about some of the equipment the P.I.G.S use on an investigation.

Analogue Audio Recorder

Great simple piece of kit, all it is is a hand held tape recorder, you can place this device in a room to try and capture any sounds in there, or you can use it for 'EVP' (electronic voice phenomena) experiments.  Some people claim that the hiss of the taps noise enables spirit to communicate using the 'white noise' of the tape, the theory is that not all spirit can communicate from nothing but can influence something that is already there.

   Hints and Tips

 

Ensure you have fresh batteries and tapes before you start.

Avoid holding this devise in bare hands when you use it as the slightest hand movement can create un wanted sounds what will confuse the listener later on, if you must hold it you can cut out some sounds by warring woolen gloves.

Always say at the beginning of your recording where you are time and date, this will aid you later on when you study your recordings.

Warn people with you that you are using the devise and ask them to keep quiet and not move whiles your conducting your experiment, this will avoid footsteps and other noises causing confusion later on.

By all means place this device next to a de tuned radio playing quiet white noise to if you like give spirit a viechle to communicate with.
