Mont Orgueil
Overlooking the picturesque harbour at Gorey and the Royal Bay of Grouville, Mont Orgueil Castle is Jersey’s most iconic building. The castle dates to the 13th century and was built to defend Jersey from the French. Guests have seen a white figure walking through the many rooms in the castle, a baby has been heard crying when there was no baby there. People have suddenly felt ill and scared in certain rooms. There is a tale of a young girl staring from a window and seeing soldiers marching into the castle grounds.
Elizabeth Castle
Defending Jersey for more than 300 years, Elizabeth Castle was home to Sir Walter Raleigh while he was Governor of Jersey. Work began on the castle in the 1590s and the future King Charles II sought refuge at Elizabeth Castle during the English Civil War. Climb the battlements, explore the turrets and discover the Hermitage where St Helier is thought to have lived around 500 A.D. There have been many sightings of hooded figures and soldiers at this location.
* Please note that this is a tidal location – participants will access the castle at low tide and then the challenge will begin… Spending the night on the island searching for paranormal activity. At low tide the next morning you are then able to leave the island. Can you handle it?
Your challenge is to spend the night in one or both locations to try and encounter paranormal activity. The experience includes a tour of the location, use of ghost hunting equipment and an overnight investigation. You will be joined by medium Chris Conway and Parapsychologist Dr. Ciarán O'Keeffe from Living TV’s Most Haunted. You will also be joined by paranormal investigators - the Paranormal Investigation Group of Sussex (P.I.G.S).
