CCTV Equipment

Categories

CCTV is a great tool on paranormal investigations, it gives vision to the locations that you place them. There are many different types of camera available.

Wireless IR Cameras

These infrared cameras see up to 17 meters in the dark. Comes as a pack of two cameras but can be upgraded to 4. They also have audio, and can plug into the mains electricity or will run on a 9 volt batteries per camera. Wireless cams are fine for use within

a close range however they are prone to interference and can interfere with other wireless equipment, such as broadband etc.

Wide View IR Camera

Standard CCTV cameras have a fairly narrow field of vision and a fairly short range, if you are considering investing in a CCTV system it is well worth checking out several different cameras to ensure you purchase the cameras that suit your needs. This is a superb camera with a nice wide
angle lens and a 30 metre IR range. we brought it on ebay for around £50

Hi Power IR Camera

This camera is superb it has a fairly wide angle view and two Infra Red illumination canons one each side. this enables the camera to be able to see further into darkness. This camera is practically useful if you require footage from a long hallway, staircase of large room.

I.P Cameras

The IP camera, is useful if you are intending to leave it at a location. This camera allows you to log in and see the footage as it has its own I.P address, so will have to be used as part of an Internet network

CCTV Computer interface

This is the bit of kit that the cameras plug into. you can buy DVR (digital Video Recorders) or as we use it you can purchase an interface which allows a computer to record the footage for you. It can handle four cameras per interface however the software can take up to sixteen cameras.
