Clapham Wood- Study
Our attention was drawn to this place by several emails requesting a Police style investigation, but not for ghosts, no for occultists, witch craft, black magic, and other nasty's.
Whiles intrigued with this location it is not on the P.I.G.S Objective list for 2008 so we decided to add study information when ever it came about, this is NOT a case file simply a quick over view that will build in time and perhaps presented with enough evidence the P.I.G.S will consider the investigation requests again
Basic Paranormal info
- Reports of people feeling sick in woods
- Many supposed UFO sightings
- Grey mist appearing on paths in the woods
- Tree stump marked with pentagram
- People experiencing being pulled by unknown force
- Feelings of being followed
- Strange lights seen
- Lack of wildlife in the area
- A27 – some people driving on this road which borders the area have reported strange feelings of not being in control of the vehicle/ another force directing it
Other Info
- Dogs (2) disappeared without trace
- One dog lost and reappeared suffering illness, unknown, had to be put down
- Various other reports of animals becoming aggressive or uneasy
Deaths
- 1972 – Peter Goldsmith, disappeared hiking in area, body found 6 months later. Open verdict
- August 1975 – Leon Foster, missing for 3 weeks prior. Open verdict
- October 1978 - Reverend Harry Snelling, former vicar, disappeared 3 years prior. Open verdict
- September 1981 – Jillian Matthews, discovered 6 weeks later, homeless schizophrenic. Sexually assaulted and strangled
Satanic Info
- 1987 – Demonic Connection – Charles Walker, Alan Brown and Toyne Newton. Walker claimed contacted by member of Friends of Hecate and threatened. Charles Walker still maintains investigation of the area and is still sure that the disappearances are in connection with FOH. Also found a painting of a demonic being on a disused manor house in the are which he claims was done by the friends of Hecate.
- Supposed other wicca groups have been stated by Charles to previously worked to cleanse and restore the area

Curse of Clapham
1288 – Robert Le Faulconer supposedly curse the priest of the town. He lost a court case for bodily harm against Adam Le Gest, the local parson of the time and cursed them “I call upon she who knows to damn this accursed village and all its meagre holdings. May the priesthood of this false God soon come to know their fate”.
