“Approximately ten years ago, a young boy was stood in the vending area, and I was stood by the entrance of the Oak Room, by the corridor leading to reception. I was with the boy’s father, and he came running up to him, white as a sheet, saying he had seen a ghost. I asked what he had seen, and he described seeing a woman standing in the corridor behind us. I walked down the corridor and there was a distinct cold spot, and my heckles went up. “
“A cleaner, who used to come in first thing every morning used to report seeing something every day, and believed it to be a former cook at the property, possibly for the Henty family”
“Often while walking along the corridor, I have experienced a cold spot in the same location, just outside the Oak Room”.
“There are rumours about the Barn and Pavilion, although nothing has ever been experienced that we know about”.
“At approximately 8pm, there was a meeting in the Oak room, and one of the people in the meeting, a gentleman, was sat staring into the (NE) corner of the room, and swore blind that there was a woman standing watching them”.
“The evening we were investigating I saw my Assistant Manager who lives on site, upstairs. He asked what all the howling was about. Of course I had no idea what he was talking about as we weren’t howling, but he is adamant that’s what he heard.
“One of our regular users was clearing her room (Henty), and saw a child run past her…..she investigated (obviously!) but no one there”
“The Pavilion- I am fed up getting poked in the arm (very gently I may add), or having my hair played with, especially when I am selling the room to a martial arts expert who demanded to leave as all the hairs on his neck and arms were on end (they were too!). I hadn’t told him I was being picked on, he just came out with it. Now that’s what I call spooky.”
“I have used my own crystal in the Oak room and had communication with a lady. Haven’t had enough free time to do more but can’t wait to see what happens next!”
