Arriving at The Iron Duke Hotel in the early evening, we proceeded to finish off our electrical equipment set up that we had started the day before. Around the building we placed several static cameras, a motion sensor camera and temperature sensors. We started our investigation around 11:30 pm after briefing all guests on the location history, investigation methods and the equipment we'd be using.
We decided to break up into three groups and have two P.I.G.S members acting as roaming cameras. Each group was equipped with a thermometer, EVP, EMF and a radio. Due to a mediums previous visit to The Iron Duke in our Pre Investigation phase, we had already listed our target areas of investigation.
On entering each area, the groups performed the base tests (noise check, temperature and EMF readings) and wrote down the results. This was then usually followed by a period of silence to settle in and focus on the surroundings. The groups had one hour in each area and various techniques were used to encourage and promote paranormal activity. During the night, the groups did EVP call-outs, white noise experiments, holding hands to build energy, asking out loud for noises or lights and taking digital photos.
Once the groups had investigated a few locations each, we then brought everybody back together and asked for volunteers to join in with a mediums glass moving, which took place in the bar area . Once the participants felt happy to continue without the medium, she took another group into the cellar to try table tilting. This was very sucessful and we experienced not only rocking from side to side but watched as the table managed to turn in a full circle!
The P.I.G.S packed up and finished off the investigation around 4 am, although some of the guests who attended, stayed on to continue with glass moving.
