Mirus Anecdotal Evidence

Our Incident Board from 2010
Public research
There is many people that seem to refer to the bunker as being haunted by a shadowy figure, potentially a German (nicknamed as Fritz).
Many people have reported seeing shadows and figures walking about the complex.
Some Quotes from our Incident Board
"In the back room I heard footsteps behind me and my feet felt very cold"
"We had some results from the glass moving- We contacted a male, under 20yrs of age, died in 1944 in the winter, possibly murdered. He was not happy we were there. There was a fair amount of movement from the glass but the table we used was not ideal as it was damp and chipped and hard for the glass to manoeuvre. In the room before the back room I felt a pressure on my scalp like I was wearing a helmet"
"I saw a black figure about 6.5 feet tall and was very cold"
"We used the audio lights to try to make contact, they did light up red a couple of times. We then started holding hands and asking to let the spirits know that they were there and then I heard some footsteps behind me"
"In the shells room we had 20mins of contact with yes/no answers. We contacted a German aged 22 who died in 1943 from TB in hospital while he worked here"
"In the shell room, when Lib asked “what is your name?” I saw the word ‘Marceau’ in my head"
"We picked up on the name George, one of the girls had their ear touched and a person in the group got pushed by and unknown entity"
"We contacted a German officer who indicated that his name was ‘Jurgan"
"The wall was dry when we got in there, but once we sat down it started to leak. I got the name ‘Clairse’ There was a little boy in there and we all had the urge to sing ‘HOT CROSS BUNS!"
"A red light lit up when we asked, we smelt incense and I felt the energy of a little boy by the far wall called Edward but was known as eddie. When we went next to the shower room I felt that this little boy’s face was damaged on one side joining onto his eye, and also on his shoulder"
"With the dowsing rods we contacted a little boy called Teddy aged 8yrs old who died in 1942 and lived in forest parish. When we asked where teddy was in the room all 3 sets of dowsing rods pointed the same way"

Upon entering this wonderful building I was struck by the instant energy of the place. I was struck by the feeling that I was somewhere I shouldn’t have been. I kept getting the feeling that I was being watched and could not shake the feeling that I was about to be attacked. I put these feelings down to the fact that the place was a former German bunker in World War 2. |

Before meeting the guests for the night I encountered a German officer. At first the Officer refused to communicate his name with me and felt I wouldn’t understand it. Even on my walkabout he still refused to name himself. However, the next evening he communicated his Christian name to me as Albrecht. This man was telling me all about the pride he had about the battery and how when he was in charge everything ran like clockwork.
In the back rooms I met a German soldier who hated being sent to the Mirus Battery as he felt that this made him a failure. He believed that he deserved to be in the front line and that he felt like a coward and a failure. In this area i was shown images of how the room used to look and came to the conclusion it was the sleeping quarters.
In a small room in the Troggs room I again encountered Albrecht the officer who immediately ordered us to leave. This he told me was his room. Interestingly enough lots of phenomena happened in that room whilst doing a spiritual circle with Tim’s group.
In another room I encountered a small boy named Edward. He told me that he was left here when everyone else was evacuated. He told me that he woke up one morning and all his friends were there... by night they had all gone. He remembered hearing his mum talk about how the British had let them down and “left them to die”. The thing that really surprised me was when his friends returned he told me that they all spoke a different language. However, one of the ladies told me that in Guernsey they did indeed speak a different language... so when the boys returned speaking mainly English it would have upset the boy. In this room I was told it was an area where people would clean themselves. I was told by the team that this would be right as it turned out to be the shower room.
In the shell room I encountered spirits who were from before the bunker was built. They were showing me images of a small fort and I could feel that they were hiding from something. At this I was shown images of wooden boats heading towards the island.
All in all I felt this was a fantastic location and much of the phenomena was fantastic and unexplainable. I can’t wait until I return to the Mirus Battery and get the opportunity to renew acquaintances with the spirits there and hopefully meet more of them.
I would also like to say how impressed I was with the way Anna Spencer of the Anthony Nolan organised the event and how professional and thorough the wonderful PIGS were. They are a group after my own heart who have a wonderful humour and respect for the spirits and locations.
Blessings
Chris
