The Old Beneficiary School Ghost Hunt
Sometimes referred to as one of the most haunted buildings in the area.
There are accounts of up to nine ghosts who frequent what is now the Groundlings Theatre. Built in 1784 as a school for boys but expanding to include girls in 1836 finally closing in 1939 there remains to this day much of the old school features including a punishment hook where children were tied to receive punishment !
Reports of unexplained smells, children laughing, a girl called Emily and a boy called George. Also poltergeist activity has been reported in this building. For one night, you can have the chance to try and experience these things yourself!
We will be in search of conformation of the ghosts that haunt The Old Beneficiary School. In small teams the mission will be to collect evidence using traditional methods such as séance, glass moving etc right up to the latest ghost equipment using infrared, electro magnetics and so on.
No experiment is compulsory as we do our best to identify who the ghosts of The Old Beneficiary School are and why they haunt this location.
The cost for the night is £45 per head, 8.30pm for an 8.50pm start. The night will finish at 1.30am, by which time you will have had the chance to experience what it is like to be a paranormal investigator, and had the opportunity to try a mixture of traditional techniques as well as modern technology to try to decide for yourselves – WHO HAUNTS The Old Beneficiary School ?
Book on line here.

We have only visited this location once before back in 2016. It was an interesting night with many guests saying that they felt affected by the building in some way. Below are a collection of sound anomalies and the event video from 2016.
